Thank you to GreenTouch volunteers

Thank you to Itasca-Mantrap and Clearwater-Polk Electric members, employees and guests for volunteering their time to help make the 17th annual GreenTouch Day at Itasca State Park a success! Approximately 50 people were in attendance on Saturday, May 6. Volunteers spent the morning raking, painting, removing bud caps and planting trees. They met at the Visitors Center to enjoy a free lunch after.

GreenTouch Day is celebrated across Minnesota and sponsored by Minnesota’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives. This year’s GreenTouch event brought a total of 369 volunteers to Minnesota’s state parks to work a total of 1,259 hours. Over the past 17 years, nearly 9,352 people have volunteered their time and have worked more than 33,443 hours! In addition to volunteer time, Minnesota’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives donates to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to help fund the State Park Guide.

Thank you to all the volunteers for your hard work!
